User Guide

Learn how to set up your firm, collect documents, organise Jobs, and bill your clients.

On this page

Ziffa helps your firm collect and check client documents, organise work, and prepare bills. This guide explains how the parts fit together and how to use them day to day.

New to Ziffa?

Start with How Ziffa works. Then follow Configure your firm before adding your first client.

The examples use Harbour Accounting, a fictional firm, Joshua Gauci, a fictional contact, and Seabreeze Trading Ltd, a fictional Entity. All screenshot examples use demonstration data.

A note about names

This guide uses Jobs and Job Templates, the names being introduced in Ziffa. Your current app may still say Tasks, Firm Deadlines, or deadline tasks. Each relevant article tells you which current menu to open. Screenshots show the interface available when the guide was written.

A Job is work to be done. A Job Template is the rule used to create that work. Read the explanation.

If a button or section is missing

What you can see and change depends on your firm role, your access to that client, and the features enabled for your firm. Ask a Partner to check your access. The guide describes the full workflow; it does not grant access to it.

See Roles for the difference between viewing information and changing it. Use Team to invite colleagues and assign their roles.
